Richard Fowler was born July 16, 1962 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Rudolph and Sarah Fowler. He departed this life July 5, 2019 in Elizabeth, NJ.
Richard attended Plainfield Public Schools. He was employed in Plainfield, NJ. Richard moved to Ozark, AL in 2002. He was employed at Green Bush Lumber Yard in Ozark, AL.
After moving to Ozark, AL, he met the love of his life Pastor Brenda Smiley. They were joined together in Holy matrimony and were married for 14 years. He was a member of Prayer Community Outreach in Ozark, AL under the leadership of his wife Pastor Brenda Fowler, where he accepted the Lord as his personal Lord and Savior.
Richard had a funny sense of humor and was considered the comedian of the family. He loved telling jokes and you had no choice but to laugh at them. He had a great heart and loved children. Richard had a special love for his second family (the Bailey’s). Richard loved to win souls for Christ by speaking the word of God to anyone that would listen.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Sarah Fowler; his sisters: Charlene Jones and Elaine Russaw; brothers: David, Sherman and Jeffery Fowler; nephew Ronald Jones and Brother-in-law Charles Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Pastor Brenda Smiley Fowler, children: Tameka and Hamman Rudolph of Plainfield NJ; three sisters: Edna May Jones, Freda Fowler and Deborah Fowler all of Plainfield, NJ; three brothers: Rudolph Fowler, Sr., Darrel Stewart (Valerie) of Willingboro, NJ, Isaiah Fowler of Rahway, NJ, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
God said “no more”.
There will be no more pain and suffering. As we lay you to rest today,
I know God Has you covered. You will truly be missed.
