Brother Grady Tellis Sr.

 
Grady Tellis was born January 1, 1949, in Ozark, AL to the wonderful parents, the late Hattie P. Tellis and Simon Tellis.
   
God called Grady home to eternal rest at the age of 76 on May 31, 2025. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Grady life was a testament to love, dedication, and craftsmanship. He shared 45 wonderful years with his cherished wife, the late Ruby N. Tellis, creating a beautiful family and life filled with love and laughter.
Grady Tellis was a true lover of landscaping and outdoors. He found joy and peace in doing yard work around the house or around the surrounding areas of Ozark. His passion for yard work was loved by his family and the community.
Grady was preceded in death by his wife- Ruby N. Tellis; parents- Hattie P. Tellis and Simon Tellis; Daughter- Felisha Tellis and his long-time friend Jackie Crittenden.
He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories by his loving: 2 daughters: Katrina Felder -Miami, FL and Sharonda Tellis- Ozark, AL.  Son: Grady Lee Tellis Jr- Ozark, AL. 3 Brothers: Ray Lee Tellis – Ozark, AL, Antonio Tellis, and Timothy Tellis. 6 Sisters- Mary Ann Tellis- (Ozark, AL), Alice P. Douglas- Ozark, AL, Katrina Crossley- Ozark, AL, Pamela Tellis- Ozark, AL, Tammy Banks- Ozark, AL and Vanessa Tellis- Ozark, AL. 2 Stepdaughters: Tonya Mixon (Ozark, AL), and Quwanda Tellis (Ozark, AL). 16 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; 1 special friend- Luther Dean (Ozark, AL).  A host of family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Grady love and passion for life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
