Mother Audrey Corbitt Obituary


Audrey Mae Owens was bom in Dothan Alabama one January 5,1943.She was the oldest  of three children born to Grady and Frankie Owens. She attended the schools in Henry County,AL and Orange County,Fl., She graduated from Hungerford High School in Eatonvile,FL,in 1961. Her family lovingly named her"Archie Mae" and "Baby Cakes”。

She has two surviving siblings;Alfred "Tuck" Owens and Andre "Jit" Owens. Audrey was divorced and had no children.The Owens family moved to Belle Glade,FL in 1953 and shortly after moved to Winter Park,FL,where the children were raised in a loving close-knit manner.They were members of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church,under the leadership of Rev. K.S. Wilson. 

God blessed her with the gift of being a caregiver,she did this with her whole heart out of love, not out of duty.

 To sum it up,Audrey was loving,selfless woman who loved unconditionally and did what she could do to help, like her parents did. Audrey had a personal and intimate relationship with God.

She is preceded in death by both parents, Grady and Frankie Owens, and Ex-Husband;Joe Corbitt. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her Stepchildren;Joe Corbitt II,and Evangelist Diane Ealey: Two brothers; AlfreD(Betty)Owens and Andre (Marie) Owens; Three Aunts; Tinnie Owens, Dothan AL,Mary Owens,Tallahassee,FL and Charlena Owens,Los Angeles, CA.Nieces; Maria Gillard(John) and family,Kywanna Johnson (Cory) and family, Andreye Owens and family,Ariane Owens,Aida and Seynabou Diack.Nephew:Tony Richard & Rui-James Pereira. Special family and friends; Adrian Owens, Tallahassee Florida, Dr.Alice Scruggs, Tallahassee Florida,Sister Bibi Martin,Dothan Alabama, Deacon John Blue and Family Maitland Florida, Sister Ann Vereen,Orlando Florida, Sister Fannie Brown Williams, Deacon Milton McKinney, Deacon Ben Davis,Orlando,Florida,Mother Clorene Culver and Family,Palm Bay Florida,Mary Jean Hamilton Orlando,Florida
