Georgia “Charlotte” Robinson Higgins was born January 3, 1959, in Bingen am Rhein Germany. Her parents were the late Willard Robinson and Ethel Robinson.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with North Highland Baptist Church. Later she united with Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church.
She primarily grew up in Dothan, Alabama and was a graduate of Dothan High School.
In 1987 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Bennie J. Higgins. To this union two sons were born.
Charlotte was vivacious with a charismatic personality and profound sense of humor. She almost never met a stranger. She was also kind, generous and always willing to help anyone in need.
She departed this life on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.
Her beloved grandson, Jeremiah Cashmere Higgins and a very dear friend, Rev. Warren Reynolds preceded her in death.
Charlotte was a member of an incredibly special large, blendedfamily who loved her dearly and unconditionally.
Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory: two devoted sons, Justin W. L. Higgins ( Dorothy ) and Jeremy W.H. Higgins(Kallie); five grandchildren, Marquez McCray, Chasity Nicole Brooks, Kaylin Jace Powell, Kaylix Jeremiah Higgins and Kingston Lamar Higgins , all of Dothan AL; two step mothers, Mrs. Angel Harris of Dyersburg, TN and Mrs. Betty Robinson of Level Plains, AL; two sisters, Pamela Harris Taylor (Joe) of Dyersburg, TN and Janet Robinson Jennings (Roger), of Jacksonville, Florida; five brothers, Randy Harris (Crystal), of Dyersburg, TN, Eddie Shelton, Sr. (Gwen), of Atoka, TN, Ronnie Harris of Memphis, TN, Patrick Harris of Newnan GA, Roderick Harris (Latrice) of Macon, GA; three special nieces, Nakia Robinson, Amber Brooks Clark (Chad), Jessica Brooks of Jacksonville FL; a special and devoted friend, Mrs. Mary Daniels of Dothan, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
