Ruby Dean Hill, a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother.....
On November 12, 1952 Ruby(Rubie) Dean Hill affectionately known as "Sugar" was born in Slocomb, Alabama to the union of Mamie Alice Jones Hill, and the late Lester Earl Jones. As a child she attended the Geneva County Training school in Slocomb, Alabama. On November 25th, 1972 she married her late husband Roy Lee Hill, and to that union 8 kids were born. From this marriage three boys, and one girl preceded her in death.
Ruby Dean accepted the Lord at an early age and was a faithful member of New Holy Temple Church of God in Christ of Slocomb, Alabama. She sang in the choir, worked in the kitchen and was an active participant with whatever her hands could find to do. She was a devoted member until her health began to fail.
Ruby Dean lived a full, blessed life and was no stranger to work. She worked at Dale's Sportswear and Van Heusen of Hartford, Alabama for many years. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Look the world over and you'll find, none other so sweet and kind....I hope and pray that one day, we'll have a chance to give the same love away. An angel in disguise she must be, she's Heaven sent, can't your see! She's been a true blessing to you and me."
Her precious memories will live on through, her mother Mamie Alice Hill, and stepfather Horace Hill (Slocomb); Three daughters: Shenvia Hill (Carlos) of Dothan, AL, Octavia (Claude) Ratliff of Taylor, AL, Mamie Evans (Mario) of Dothan, AL; One son: Roy Lee Hill, Jr. of Dothan, AL; Eleven grandchildren: Kaijana Hill, DunQuavia Hill, Alexandria Evans, LaKendra Smith, Caleb Hill, ShaKeivia Ratliff, Roy'Niah Hill, Ja'Liyah Hart, Ja'Kiyah Hart, Roy'Yana Hill, and Roy'Hanna Hill; Four great grandchildren: Kingston Hill, Caiden Williams, Kaison Hill, Ihlani Smith; Seven sisters: Lillie Dawkins, Lois(Tyrone) Frierson, Loretta (Jerome) Kelly, Cynthia Johnson, Paula Smith, Nikki Hill, Kiosha Hill; Three brothers: Johnny Jones, Paul Jones, Jamal Hill; Two aunts: Mary Horace, Mattie Bratcher, and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents JC and Lillie Mary Pouncey, and two brothers: George C. Jones, and Rashid V. Hill.
