Stephanie M. Hamilton Newsome, 55, was born January 15, 1968 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Shirley Mae Miley and Moses Liptrot. She is preceded in death by one brother, Terriance Yvain Hamilton and father-in-law, James Newsome, Sr. 

Growing up, Stephanie attended Carroll High School and studied at the University of North Florida. 

Stephanie leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, James Newsome of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Janae Newsome of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, James Newsome of Japan; step-daughter, Jazmine Newsome of St. Louis, Missouri; eight brothers, Chris Miley (Belinda), Daryl Miley, Craig Hamilton, Rodney Hamilton, Moses Stanford, Gregory Terry, John Stanford all of Ozark, Alabama, Vernon Stokes of Clio, Alabama, Michael Liptrot of Orlando, Florida, and Greg Liptrot of Troy, Alabama; five sisters, Derneller Petty (Vincent) of Roten, Alabama, Jackie Duncan (Bro) of Dothan, Alabama, Angie Liptrot (Obadiah) of Ariton, Alabama, Sherlynn Liptrot (Cornelus) of Enterprise,Alabama, Sandra McDaniel of Ozark, Alabama, and Meka Liptrot; mother-in-law, Pecola Newsome; sister-in-law, Gail Newsome; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Newsome and Omar Newsome all of St. Louis, Missouri; and a host of nieces , nephews , aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives.
